It is with great pleasure that I can finally announce that Empyrean is now available on all major streaming platforms.
This album has been a long time coming. Empyrean began as a collection of cinematic orchestral tracks, but as it continued to grow, it became something much larger and more cohesive. Each piece was written to stand on its own, whether imagined beneath a trailer, an action sequence, a fantasy world, or a quiet emotional moment. Together, however, the tracks form a journey through conflict, discovery, loss, determination, and triumph.
A large part of writing this album was exploring how far a single musical idea could be pushed. Some tracks are built around large orchestral movements and relentless percussion, while others focus more closely on tension, atmosphere, or a particular emotion. I wanted every track to feel like it belonged to the same world without requiring each one to tell the exact same story.
This is also the first album I have released under my legal name, Wylan Shoemaker. That makes this release feel like more than simply putting out another collection of music. It represents a new chapter in my work as a composer and a more honest presentation of the music I want to create.
I am incredibly proud of how Empyrean turned out, and I am excited to finally share it.
Empyrean is available now wherever you listen to music.
